Tulsa's Etsy Craft Party (6.18.2010)

Happy Father's Day to all the dad's out there!  The father of my kitties, Josh, has enjoyed a very relaxing day with lots of kitty cuddle time ;-)  Hope you all enjoy whatever it is you love to do!

Friday, June 18th 2010 was Tulsa's fabulous Etsy Craft Party!  What is the Craft Party, you ask?  Well, across the nation Etsy hosted a Craft Party and everyone used Meet-Up as a way to RSVP for the Craft Party in their town.  The point is for everyone to get together to craft and mingle.

Tulsa did just that.  Out of over 580 groups across the nation, Tulsa had the 10th largest RSVP count for the party.  The top 50 groups got a special goody box from Etsy!  How sweet!  They provided some cool craft projects and promo items, such as pins, fliers and toothbrushes (PBR toothbrushes at that)!

It was so much fun.  Tulsa had 95 RSVP's on the Meet-Up website and ended up having an attendance over 250!  Did I mention the lovely Philbrook Museum hosted the party?  What a way to add class to the craft party!

We set up in the main lobby of their beautiful building.  The Egyptian exhibition was also open to the public, which really seemed to fair well!

It was so much fun seeing the crafty side of Tulsa.  When I started getting into all this craft business hardly anyone knew what Etsy was!  That was only three years ago.  Way to go, Tulsa!  You rock!  And Craft. ;-)

A big thanks to everyone who came out!

And thank you, Christine, for putting on a fabulous craft event!  I can't wait to see you work your magic for this October's Indie Emporium!  Save the Date!  October 29th and 30th!
